1971-72 Topps Hockey design analysis
Class project, 2009
Size: 11" x 8.5" (17 pages)
In my graduate studies at DePaul, I was tasked with selecting an object that contained text and imagery. The purpose was to deconstruct and analyze the design, then explain it by creating a printed presentation that uses the same design style as the subject itself.
Being obsessed with hockey cards, I selected the 1971-72 Topps Hockey set. This project furthered my understanding of the trading card industry and deepened my appreciation of the Pop Art movement of the 1960s.
Skills Utilized: Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, copywriting...and lots of research!
