Kamakura       

Description OK, let's establish two things: I like the new G.I. Joe character Kamakura I don't like the new G.I. Joe figures Kamakura is a cool character. I like the idea of Snake-Eyes having an apprentice. And the Kamakura figure that came out in 2003 is actually pretty good--one of my favorite "new mold" figures. Unfortunately, it does not look good next to all of my "oldschool" Joes. So, I decided to make an oldschool version of Kamakura. Originally, I was trying to make my custom look as close to the 2003 version as possible. But then, I realized that the Rock Viper arms are too lumpy to pass off as short sleeves with bare forearms. So, I decided to give Kamakura long sleeves. I also came to the conclusion that bright orange is quite unneccessary on a ninja's uniform. It kind of defeats the stealth aspect--hence the black gloves instead of orange ones. I don't miss the orange, but I miss the short sleeves. Eventually, I will go back and re-do the arms.
